Fabric Wall Art

The Purl Bee has a great take on some unique wall art.  We love all the possibilities this offers!  You can also spray these with glitter, add buttons, sew on other patterns, sew fabric remnants together and then stretch them over the circle - have fun with it!!  We'd love to see your results!

MATERIALS
To make one portrait
  • A square of fabric, at least 2" wider than your hoop in all directions.  We used Fabrics from our collection of Liberty of London, Tana Lawn.
  • A wooden embroidery hoop in any size
  • Elmer's or fabric glue of any type is fine
  • Fabric scissors
  1. Place fabric in the hoop, pull taught.
  2. Turn to wrong side, run a small line of glue around the inside hoop, just next to the fabric
  3. Press fabric into glue, all the way around.
  4. Allow Glue to dry.
  5. Trim fabric to edge of hoop
